It’s been a great weekend filled with lots of warm weather and fun memories. We spent our Friday night with my good friend Megan who took some photos for us. I can’t wait to see the images and to share them here on my blog.
When getting ready for my professional pictures this week, I picked up a self tanner at Ulta to try. I fell in love with the product and wanted to share with you all about it and my tips and tricks for using it. I am normally a skeptical person and very picky when it comes to self tanners, but I found a great product and I’m so excited to share it with you all!
St. Tropez Self Tanner starter kit is the best way to get started if you are trying this self tanner for the first time. Mine came with a glove to apply, the shower gradual tan, and the bronzing gradual tan lotion, not sure if this kit I linked has one included so I attached a link here for you Self Tanner Mitt.
I used the mousse three nights in a row before I got a nice dark tan and used the shower tan twice and the lotion twice as well to make the tan even. Here’s a tip when applying, make sure to cover all areas of your skin evenly or else you will end up with patches. Also, be sure to apply enough to your skin. I apply two pumps per arm, four per leg, and five for the chest and stomach area. It is difficult for me to get my back side, so I recommend getting someone else to help with that. I missed a couple parts of my hands and feet, so be sure to get those well too.
The most important thing to do when applying it, is putting it on in the evening before you go to bed and waiting to wash in the morning. It gives the tan a longer time to sit on your skin and absorb it. The smell is great and doesn’t smell like typical spray tans do. It was definitely husband smell approved.
Overall, I really love this self tanner and will definitely be using it a lot! I highly recommend it for a pre vacation tan, prom tan, graduation, professional pictures, and any other time you are in need of a quick self tan. Check out my pictures below with it on and the cute little bag the kit came in. I am thinking of trying a self tanning face mask from them next.
Let me know if you have any questions about self tanners and how to apply. Also, check out my outfit details above for the cutest maxi dress. I am wearing a size XS for sizing.
Hope you all have a happy weekend and Cinco De Mayo!
