We have been keeping busy with our new home and still finishing lots of painting. I can’t wait to show you all the finishing project in a couple weeks when we get the flooring in and we are all settled. It’s crazy to think we are almost halfway through August and that school starts again. I wanted to share with you all some of my favorite fall transition outfits along with some essentials for your back to school wardrobe.
I love anything that is trendy, chic, and girly all at the same time! One of my favorite pieces to wear inside as we go into the fall season are cardigans. I love layering my clothes which is another reason I love fall so much! My absolute favorite cardigans right now are these B.P. Cardigans from Nordstrom. They are a soft material and fit so well, plus they have pockets. I just love pockets in my clothing so I don’t always have to carry my purse around everywhere. I got this cardigan in a grey and oatmeal color in a size XS. They definitely fit true to size.
I am also crushing on long sleeve and short sleeve tees. I found two from American Eagle I love, two from Nordstrom, and one from Target. There are definitely options when it comes to picking good tees. I love the fit the best with my Nordstrom ones and American Eagle ones since I am more petite and they fit the best! This coral and white tee is the perfect transition piece since it can be worn by itself or with a cardigan and it comes in so many other colors as well. I am wearing an XS and it is a little big in the neck area, so I would say it’s good to size down one. I also love the grey striped tee I have from American Eagle for under $30 because of the V neck and the soft material.
Shoes are always my favorite when it comes to fall. I love these adorable mauve mules I found for under $25 at Target. They run a little small, so I would recommend going up a half size. They are so comfy and can be worn with dresses or jeans. I also love these black over the knee boots from Amazon for under $50. They are such a steal! Normally over the knee boots run from $80-$130. They have a flatter heel which I love and fit my height which is 5’3″. The material is suede so you might want to spray them with some protective spray, but they are definitely a great fall boot and even into winter.
When it comes to back to school wardrobe must haves, I recommend grabbing some short sleeve or long sleeve tees, a couple cardigans, denim jeans, a few casual dresses and definitely some mules. I linked several here and in the liketoknowit app as well.
