How to transition into fall with light layers

I love everything about the fall! Pumpkin patches, corn mazes, apple picking and best of all the cool weather. I am getting so excited for fall to come this weekend! We have been having warmer weather recently, so I wanted to share with you all some ways to transition into fall with light layers and my favorite fall wardrobe must haves.

One of my favorite pieces to transition into fall is short sleeve and long sleeve tees. I love that tees are so versatile. They can be worn in the Spring/Summer and the Fall as well. My favorite simple tee is this black one from Gap Factory for $25 normally but currently on sale for $10. This black tee can be worn by itself with jeans or you can add a simple cardigan. You can also easily dress it up with a skirt and a pair of ankle boots.

Cardigans are also a must have for light layering in the fall. You can add a cardigan over a dress or over a simple tee. The options are endless with cardigans! I linked my two favorite I grabbed from Nordstrom and a couple other ones I love. I am wearing a size XS/Small in both of the cardigans. They are so comfortable and perfect for when you walk inside somewhere and the A/C is on.

Another favorite fall transition piece I love is a great pair of mules or ankle boots. Leopard is one of my current favorite trends for fall. I found these cute leopard mules at the Gap Factory on sale for under $20. They are selling out pretty fast so I would grab them now. There is nothing better than a great ankle boot for the fall. I am loving the cut out ankle boots with the pointy toes. I found these cute grey ankle boots at Red Dress Boutique for $36. I am wearing a size 7, but would recommend sizing down a half size. They are also so comfortable to wear. I wore them around TN a whole day and they didn’t hurt my feet at all. I also linked my favorite black and nude booties too.

Jeans are a must have all year round, but especially during the fall. I found these cute cropped jeans at Francesca’s for under $50. If you are on the shorter height end these are perfect. I am 5’3″ and these fit me perfectly. They are a mid rise jean in a light wash and I am wearing a size 27. I definitely recommend going up a size in these. Francesca’s has a lot of other cute jeans too. My other favorite pair of jeans is the American Eagle Next Level Short Length Jeggings in a dark wash. I linked those as well as some other jeans I really love.

These are some of my favorite ways to transition into fall clothes and some of my favorite fall trends. Hoping this helps you transition into fall as well. I’d love to hear from you all in the comments on what your favorite fall clothing pieces are. Have a great week!

XOXO,

Autumn
