I have definitely had a lot more on my plate this spring with teaching voice lessons, fashion blogging, and rehearsing for a musical. It has involved a lot of driving and on the go moments. At first, I was really challenged to figure out how to balance my healthy lifestyle with everything I have going on. I figured out how to balance it most of the time and wanted to share with you all my tips and also best snack foods for along the way.
I think the hardest thing to figure out with a busy schedule is what type of snacks to get for in between meals and that is easy to grab on the go that is gluten and dairy free. I started with buying corn chips and these organic oat bars from the store, but found that I was still hungry and spending a lot of money on them. I came across a company on instagram called Safe + Fair. They have chips and granola that are both gluten and dairy free, plus they are made with healthy ingredients and at an affordable price. So I decided to try some of the birthday cake granola and chocolate brownies to start with. I loved the granola so much and it was so easy to grab as a snack between rehearsals and teaching. So I got to try all of their chips, granola, and brownies a couple weeks ago and I love them. They are my favorite on the go snacks, filled with good ingredients and taste so good too. The blondie’s are my husbands favorites and I love the chocolate granola. I put it in my yogurt and eat it by itself. You can use my code: Autumn20 at checkout to get 20% + Free Shipping.
The other thing I do when I have a busy week is plan our meals for the week ahead of time. This helps a lot so we don’t have to question what we are going to eat each night. We do a lot of crockpot meals since I have time in the morning to put everything in and cook it all day so it’s ready between my lessons and rehearsals. We also make sure to eat a big breakfast in the morning if it’s going to be a long day. When I need to grab something quick I always grab Chick Fil A grilled nuggets which is much healthier than other fast food places.
I also drink a lot of water during a busy week. It’s so important to stay hydrated during a stressful and busy time. I take my water bottle everywhere with me.
I also try to do 4 workouts per week and do the workout in the morning to make sure it gets done. Typically if I don’t workout in the morning, it won’t get done. Working out helps with stress and also keeps you active during a crazy time.
These are all my tips for how I balance a healthy lifestyle with my busy schedule. Hope this helps and encourages you all! Have a great week and Memorial Day Weekend!
