Gift Guide for In Laws

I know that sometimes finding good gifts can be a challenge, especially for the in laws. I wanted to give you all my top picks for both Mother in Law and Father in Law. I also encourage you to reach out to your spouses parents or even ask your spouse what you think they might like. I will link different options for several types of people since I know every person enjoys different things.

Some great gift ideas for a Mother in Law who enjoys all things cozy would include warm blankets, slippers, decorative pillows for the couch, candles, a favorite book, essential oils, or even a nice pair of leggings, pullover or pjs.  I linked a couple different options below.

For the hostess/Chef Mother in Law, you could go with a nice set of bowls or plates, an instant pot, a monogrammed apron, nice wine glasses or bottle of their favorite wine, oven mitts, decorative pillows, nice candles, any type of baking utensils, or a nice Christmas decoration for their home.

If your Mother in Law loves fashion, then going with a nice poncho, coat/jacket, a nice pair of boots, cardigans, sweaters, winter hats, scarves, and gloves, pullovers, or monogrammed clothing are perfect gifts. Just make sure you know what size she wears. Nordstrom has free shipping and returns so they are always great to go with. I also love this little boutique called I love Jewelry which has the cutest monogrammed jewelry and clothes to pick from.

Father in law’s can be even more tricky to shop for around Christmas. I would say for a general rule when shopping for men, you can’t go wrong with a gift card to a favorite store or restaurant. You also can’t go wrong with a nice pair of slippers or a tool kit.

For the Father in Law who is adventurous and likes the outdoors, there are several gifts you can get them. My top picks would be any type of camping gear like tents, packaged food, hiking backpacks, pans they can use while camping, fishing gear, etc. The options are endless here. You can find most of these type of items on Amazon. I added some of my top picks here. We got my father in law a beanie with a light on it last year for Christmas and some hiking socks.

For the nerd type Father in Law you can’t go wrong with a good book by an author they like, board games, or even a movie they love. Most of the time nerds have a specific hobby too so figure out what that is and you can get them things for their hobby.

For the business man/fashionable father in law you can get them a nice briefcase, items for their office, slippers, a nice coat, dress shirts, dress shoes, or even some dress ties. I linked some of my favorite items in men’s fashion right now.

I know it can be tough finding the perfect gift, but hope this helps you all out with finding gifts. When in doubt ask the person what they want or grab a gift card and a nice card.

Merry Christmas!

Gift Ideas for Him and Her

As you all know we are only 2 weeks away from Thanksgiving and only 7 weeks away from Christmas. It’s such an exciting time of year with lots of family gatherings, holiday parties, and fun. It can also be a stressful time for those who have trouble picking out gifts for the ones they love. I wanted to give you all a few different ideas on what to gift for your wife, husband, or significant other.

I know it can always be a challenge especially to figure out what men want for Christmas. I also wanted to give all the husbands and ladies out there some gift ideas that they maybe hadn’t thought to put on their list. We make lists in our house for each other just to make sure we can get each other things we love, however some people enjoy a good surprise. I think one of the most important things when gift shopping to have the other person in mind, pick something unique and always keep the gift receipt in case.

Gifts for Her Under $100:

One of my favorite unique ideas for a gift is getting a monogrammed gift. This could be anything from a necklace to shoes, or even a nice jacket or pullover for the winter. My favorite monogrammed piece I own is from Shop I Love Jewelry and it is the cutest white and blush sherpa pullover with my monogram and gold buttons on it. You can’t really go wrong with a monogrammed piece of jewelry like an oversized initial necklace. Shop I love Jewelry also has some cute pjs and slippers for a comfier style. They also have cute aprons for someone who loves to cook and adorable winter hats.

For your fashion lover: comfy cardigans, chunky sweaters, winter hats/gloves, feux fur jackets and OTK boots are great Christmas gifts. Red Dress Boutique and Pink Lily Boutique have the cutest comfy sweaters and cardigans. This brick cardigan is one of my favorites and comes in several colors! My favorite trend for cardigans and sweaters are chenille ones. Walmart  and Amazon also has some cute hats and glove sets. Amazon has some cute OTK boots in different colors for an affordable price. Feux Fur jackets are in this year for winter, so it would make a great Christmas present. This is one of my favorite fur jackets. Aerie also has some of the cutest casual athleisure wear and comfy clothes including these joggers. I linked a few of my favorite items here.

For your hostess: Throw pillows, bowls or pitchers for the kitchen, chunky blankets, or serving plates are great gifts. My friend Jess has some unique hosting gifts from her store and I will add that link here for you all. TJ Maxx has some cute cozy blankets and throw pillows. Bed, Bath and Beyond or Amazon is a great place to find kitchen bowls or serving plates. Linked a couple of my favorite items here.

For your beauty lovers: Ulta gift cards, sephora make up, dry bar hair brush straightener, hot tools curling iron, urban decay eyeshadow pallete, quartz and jade rollers, and the list could go on so I am going to share my top favorites. I absolutely love my dry bar hair brush straightener and it would be a perfect gift. It is a little bit of a splurge, but definitely worth it. You can also use my coupon code for it. I don’t think you can ever go wrong giving a girl new make up brushes or make up in general. I recommend finding out what type of make up they like to use first and then go with that. These make great stocking stuffers too. One of my favorite beauty purchases was my hot tools curling iron which is under $60 and can be found at Ulta. Also, I love a good face mask and sugar scrubs as well.

Gifts for Him under $100:

For the sophisticated business man or fashion lover: A nice pair of dress shoes or boots, a nice watch, a leather briefcase or even some ties and or belts are great gifts. You also can’t go wrong with some nice sweaters, a winter jacket, or a nice scarf. I linked a couple options for ideas. My husband loves his Columbia winter jacket and wears it all of the time. He also wears a lot of nice sweaters from J. crew in the winter with a pair of khaki’s and nice shoes. He found his nice shoes at Target and I will link them here. My husband also loves to have a nice pair of joggers for athleisure and at home. We found his favorite gray ones at H&M last year.

For the tech savvy/nerd: An Amazon Echo, Roku streaming stick, Amazon fire tablet, video games, or a fit bit. My husband is a super nerd so he loves some video games and these models he loves to paint. You could also give them a gift card to best buy, amazon, or even xbox.

Hope this helps you all when gift shopping for Christmas! I will be back this week with a post on black friday shopping/cyber monday. Hope you all have a great week!

XOXO,

Autumn
