Ideas for Easter

Easter style blog

As we are getting closer to the weekend and Easter is nearing us, I am trying to figure out if there is something fun for a young married couple to do for Easter. We are singing at church and will be busy with that in the morning, however we don’t have much planned for the afternoon.

I was thinking maybe we could make a dessert together? or do dinner together? I am having a little trouble coming up with some ideas so I would love to hear some of yours.

Easter brings so many great memories with it. Growing up as a young girl, my parents always made Easter a fun day! Always making sure that we knew the real reason for the celebration. We always attended church and then would look for our Easter basket which had our favorite candy inside and a little present from our parents. We did a fun Easter egg hunt outdoors around our house and my parents wouldn’t just put candy in the eggs, but they would put little notes for coupons to go get ice cream with them or one free movie with them. My parents were always good at valuing us as kids and spending time with us. I hope to be a parent like that someday.

So now that we are grown ups, I am lost at what fun things there are to do. I wanted to see if you all have any fun ideas for us to do this weekend! Please feel free to share your ideas in the comments below.

Also, I wanted to post this purple dress that I got from Francesca’s that is the perfect dress for Easter! I love the sleeves on it and how comfortable it is to wear! I also found the perfect necklace and jewelry to go along with it at Francesca’s. Also, check out our rabbit Chip below, he is a fun little guy and I thought it would be a perfect time to introduce him.

Check back again soon for my giveaway! I am going to do a $10 Amazon gift card for one of my lucky instagram followers! I hope you all enjoy your Easter weekend with your families and I look foreword to hearing your ideas!

What I love about the weekends

I love the weekends mostly because it means relaxation and adventuring with my husband! This weekend we ventured to Hobby Lobby for a while and man have I ever felt tired leaving a store. You could spend hours in there looking around at furniture and home decor there.

We are starting to look for houses and are dreaming about the style we want for it already. So thanks to Hobby Lobby, it gave us some really great ideas. I also found this cute letter board I am holding in these pictures. Check it out below!

My husband is always great at surprising me, so we ventured to our favorite coffee shop on Friday afternoon for a nice afternoon date. I definitely recommend Big Oak Cafe if you live in the Chambersburg, PA area. They have a chocolate fondue which I have yet to try, but they have the best lattes and coffee.

We currently still have snow on the ground, even though it’s spring. So I always have a difficult time figuring out what to wear. However, I found this cute top from H&M for $15 that I love wearing during this awkward season. It’s a comfy shirt that can be worn with a sweater over top or without. Here I am wearing it with my favorite comfy sweater from Francesca’s for $30 and my jeans from Banana Republic. I linked the clothes below.

Hopefully you all are enjoying your spring and can still get out and enjoy doing things with your family and friends! Have a great weekend!
